01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

At Kodaruma, a meal can centre on sashimi and grilled dishes, or take the more leisurely form of sampling a few pieces of oden. One diner described ordering a sashimi platter and grilled tokishirazu salmon, along with simmered small abalone, sea bream roe, handmade fish cakes and potato salad with seafood. They found the dishes carefully prepared and lightly seasoned.

The menu includes sashimi platters, a selection of 3 kinds of sashimi, and swordtip squid sashimi, so diners can choose a mixed selection or a single dish. Oden options range from familiar daikon, egg and konjac to handmade fish dumplings and whale tail. Starting with daikon or egg and adding other ingredients that catch your eye is one way to build a meal.

Drinks include sake, beer and highballs. The diner mentioned earlier paired the food with Orochi and Kariho sake. Beer and highballs are also available, giving diners a choice of drinks to go with a meal built around fish or oden.
